今年も「素朴屋原木市」を開催します

私たち素朴屋は、旧・泉小学校の跡地を地域の皆さまにお借りして活動しています。
この場所で仕事ができることへの感謝と、新しい年のはじまりのご挨拶の場として、毎年この原木市を開いてきました。

私たちが大切に保管している
非売品の原木や銘木を特別に販売するほか、
飲食や物販、ワークショップ、トークセッションなど、
「手を動かし、言葉を交わし、場を共につくる」一日をお届けします。

今年のテーマは
「つくることは、暮らすこと。」

家を建てることだけでなく、
食べること、語ること、選ぶこと、育てること。
そのすべてが、私たちの“暮らしをつくる”営みだと、素朴屋は考えています。

来場者するお客さまも、出店者さまも、私たちも。
立場を超えてフラットに関わりながら、
それぞれの「つくる」と「暮らす」を持ち寄る時間。

小学校の跡地ならでは
敷地を囲むように桜が咲き誇る、美しい時期、
一緒に楽しみ、学び、語り合いながら、
これからの暮らしや、地域の魅力について考える一日になれば嬉しいです。

春の一日、桜も愉しみに是非遊びにいらしてください。

At SOBOKUYA, we carry out our work on the grounds of the former Izumi Elementary School, a place generously entrusted to us by the local community.

Each year, as a gesture of gratitude for being able to work in this meaningful place—and as a way to welcome the new season—we hold our annual GENBOKUICHI (Log Market) here.

On this special day, we will offer for sale rare logs and distinguished timber pieces that we have carefully preserved over the years—many of which are normally not available to the public.

Alongside this, the event will feature food, market vendors, workshops, and talk sessions.
It is a day to move our hands, exchange words, and create a shared place together.

Building a house is only one form of making.
Eating, speaking, choosing, cultivating—
all of these are acts of shaping how we live.

At SOBOKUYA, we believe that every one of these actions is part of “creating our life.”

Visitors, exhibitors, and our own team—
beyond roles or titles—gather on equal ground,
each bringing their own sense of creating and living into the day.

Surrounded by cherry blossoms in full bloom—
a beauty unique to this former schoolyard—
we hope the day will be filled with enjoyment, learning, and open conversation,
as we reflect together on the future of living and the richness of this region.
