ドバイ デザインウィーク2025で発表した「CHATAI(茶台)」がフランスの国際デザイン賞 VAND Design Award 2025 に選出されました。

先日、2025年11月に開催された ドバイデザインウィーク2025 にて日建設計ドバイと共同制作した空間インスタレーション「CHATAI（茶台）」が、フランスの国際デザイン賞 VAND Design Award 2025 に正式ノミネートされました。

日本の茶文化をモチーフに「静けさ」と「集いの賑わい」を融合した木組みの空間。日本の大工技術による手刻みの木構造と、光・影・素材の調和が高く評価されました。

VAND Design Awardは、フランス・リヨンを拠点とする国際的デザイン機関「VAND International」が主催し、“静けさ・責任・誠実なデザイン”を評価軸とする新しい国際デザイン賞です。
日本の大工技術と素材の美しさが評価されたことを、誇りに思います。

At Dubai Design Week 2025, held this November, our spatial installation “CHATAI”, co-created with Nikken Sekkei Dubai, was officially nominated for the VAND Design Award 2025 in France.

Inspired by Japanese tea culture, CHATAI blends the serenity of a tearoom with the vitality of a street stall, creating a wooden structure that invites people to gather, reflect, and connect.
Its handcrafted timber framework, built using traditional Japanese carpentry techniques, and its delicate harmony of light, shadow, and natural materials were highly acclaimed.

The VAND Design Award, organized by VAND International in Lyon, France, is a global design competition that honors works embodying calmness, responsibility, and integrity in design.
We are deeply honored that the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship and materials has been recognized on an international stage.
